Purple4Polio – Any Ideas for where we go next?????

Our involvement with the national Purple4Polio campaign was a great success over 2016 -17.  Crocus corms were planted at both the Fairfield Grove Health Centre and Charlton Station.  To know more about Purple4Polio look at previous posts where you will find more detail of what happened and what the aims of the project are.

On 25th March 2017, there was a gathering of those involved in the project to view the fruits….or rather flowers of their hard work.

The project continues; do you know any sites in the local area which would benefit from a sea of purple crocus in early spring?  if so, please get in contact with us.

Sponsors Old and New –

Local businesses remain keen to link in with our activities at Charlton Station by sponsoring our various beds.

Conran Estates and Headstart I.T solutions are sponsoring us for the third continuous year.  Tudor Touch (previously Tudor Blinds) are supporting us again this year, and the White Swan plans to continue once their year is up in July.  We are also anticipating a new sponsor in Charlton Village.  Details hopefully to follow soon.  Look at the Sponsors Page to find out more details of the businesses supporting us.

Charlton Community Gardens – Part of the Chelsea Fringe Festival – Sunday 4th June 2017

We are having a special summer gardening party event on Sunday June 4th.  10  till 12  There will be the usual gardening jobs…. but extras.  Families are particularly welcome as we will be having some special activities for the children….. with assistance and supervision from the adults bringing them.  If anyone has any plants they would like to pass on to others, please bring them along.  You in turn may find something you want to add to your garden  or window box.  We are linking this in with the Chelsea Fringe Festival.  There are loads of things happening all over London…. and further afield.  Check out their website to find out what is happening.
