Spooky Autumn Half -Term Family Event – Charlton House

This last half-term holiday we took our Family Event into Charlton House and joined in with a children’s event being held there.

The Long Gallery was full of children making haunted houses from boxes and listening to stories organised by The Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust,  which manages Charlton House.

Charlton Community Garden’s contribution was helping children to decorate pots, plant them with bulbs

and finish them off with a brightly patterned fabric cover.  This proved to be a very popular activity; so too making a spider from wood, and wire.  So popular was this that all the spider parts had been used before the end of the session.  We are very sorry that some of you were unable to take home your own spider.
