Hard work pays off

Hard at work

Our first ‘gardening party’ on 6th October was hard work for some clearing the last of the shrubs from the area by the flagpoles. This  has now been planted with currant bushes – a mix of black, white and red.  We also planted lots of bulbs, so we can look forward to a colourful display next spring and summer – crocuses, bluebells, narcissi, anemones and alliums.  Our 2 new raised beds have also been planted with garlic, onions, and lettuces.

Raised beds

And the fruits of our labour – some of our Koralik tomatoes….

The next ‘gardening party’ takes place on Sunday 3rd November from 2-4 pm at the station.

We look forward to seeing you there.
