Diary Dates for 2017

2017
As ever, Charlton Community Gardeners at Charlton station need volunteers to keep the fruit and vegetables cared for, the flowers and bulbs planted and the station area kept tidy and pruned. We hope that there will be new opportunities for gardening in the area in 2017.  We look forward to welcoming new and existing volunteers and gardeners at future events. Just turn up. We provide tools and gloves.

Our garden at Charlton Station is being developed as an organic garden. We wish to demonstrate that food can be grown in small spaces and also to provide habitats for local wildlife. Volunteers help with clearing the ground, watering, planting ….eating.

Please join us in 2017:

2016
The 2016 AGM was held on Sunday October 2nd at 3:00 pm on the forecourt at Charlton Station. The AGM was part of our regular Gardening Party.

Gardening Parties are usually the first Sunday of the month – 2 – 4 p.m. and during the growing season, and when the evenings are light, we also have a Wednesday session, 5 – 7p.m.

On May 19th, from 5 p.m. we will be holding a plant sale at the station, using plants our volunteers have grown as surplus from their own plantings.  Any spare plants you have, please bring them along.  Money from the sales is used to buy essentials such as fertilizer, mulch, chippings and spare tools.
